Wear Now, Wear Later - Resort Dress

Lilly Pulitzer launched a new resort collection last week, so for this week's Friday Fancies - I'm incorporating two pieces into my look!  With it only the beginning of winter, new island-inspired & summery-chic pieces might not be on your current wish list.  Here is a way to incorporate these pieces now until the warm sun surfaces again.

I love this Lilly turquoise dress.  This color is something that can be worn year around and in all different places.  It reminds me of this dress I have, and have already layered up to wear in cooler temps.  This dress is no different, mix with warmer duds to get it through the winter.  Easy.

Layer the dress over a polka dot blouse (perfect for the office) and add a cardi sweater over all that for the extra cool days (and I've always loved turquoise and mustard together).  Cinch the layers together with another Lilly Pultzier resort collection piece, a metal tied belt.  Of course a faux-fur snood will keep you warm and add interest (plus you can say snood a lot).  Tights and boots are a winter must.

Ta da, a perfectly winter acceptable outfit.  Peel the layers off for the warmer days (or vacations) ahead!
