I inturupt regular scheduled programming...

...to blog about what I've been up to this week and take you along with me on my final stretch to home ownership! Hubs and I close on our first house Thursday. This coming, as in less than 2 days, Thursday! Beyond being super busy at work, I've been running around town with said hubs looking for a refrigerator, oven/stove range, couches and master bedroom paint. The whole interior house needs paint, but we first must removed Mad Men esq wall paper from entryway, hallways, 2 extra bedrooms, dinning room, kitchen and den. Thankfully the master bedroom was a plain off while wall. We're painting there before we move our bedroom in there, as if we do, I fear we'll never get to the painting...

So, after weeks of thought and searching through home magazines and online for inspiration, we had an idea of what we wanted to paint our room. Tonight we picked up some samples of flat and eggshell based Behr paint in Viking blue. We chose that color for the soft, light and airy feeling it gave us, and based on these inspirations:

So that is where I'm at...Obviously, that's only the beginning of our master bedroom design. You can see I've given this some thought before in this previous post (when I thought we had gotten a different house awhile back, but then it fell through - this house, however, is better - so it was meant to be!).

The rest of this week will be dedicated to home decorating ideas, updates and first time home ownership stuff! I'm just so excited, and this is clouding up my mind! But I'll be back to regular fashion programming next week!

Anyone else out there have some blue bedroom design advice??
