Family Travel: Pirate Ship Playground in Vail
We found Vail, CO to be super family friendly on our vacation earlier this month. Of course having the most perfect weather, we spent most of the time outside. Each of the little Vail areas, like Vail Village and Lionshead Village had shops, restaurants, wide open paths and squares to run around in, and great playgrounds for the kids to climb on!
This pirate ship playground was a huge hit with my kiddos. Located in Vail Village - on the back side, near the Gondola, it was the perfect stop before dinner to get all the energy out. This set up had everything - a dragon, cockboat, bow-spirit, lookout mast, portholes, climbing walls, nets, etc! Even as an adult it was fun to see and watch the kids all play. Plus, the park is surrounded by trees and mountains, as everything in this area, so a wonderful place to sit back and chill while the kids played.
You can see one of our nights in Vail Village here!
