What do you do on a nice weekend day with your family in December when it's 60 degrees (incredibly warm for Kansas City this time of year) and you're trying to get into the Holiday spirit? You go ice skating of course! It was a bit surreal to be skating outside with out a jacket of any kind, and actually feeling warm.
It was Liam's first time skating - and he did great. I have to admit, I am far better suited off the rink and in my own shoes (next time I'm trying hockey skates!)! For this casual holiday celebration with my family, I stuck to an almost all-grey look, letting my brown booties pop!
These Payless slouchy booties are not only affordable (which is a must since I have so many booties - they're my favorite form of footwear), they are super comfortable - much like the Fringe Booties I recently showed you (and have worn a ton)! Shopping for any kind of shoe at Payless or their site is extremely easy (see my experience here!). That's a huge help for when I'm getting pieces to get me through the Holidays - which is already a busy and stressful time - shopping should never be that! ;)
{Nora and Mimi watched us skate form the sidelines! I eventually joined them to take pictures and get back into my own shoes! }
{I particularly loved when he wore his Santa hat around the rink!}
