Winter can be pretty brutal for us - for anyone with little kids who have a lot of energy! These two of mine are at that prime age where if they don't get out of the house to do something new, physical, mind bending and/or super entertaining everyday - they go crazy with fighting, whining, complaining and so on. And this past weekend's cold and super rainy weather was the first hint of what is in store for us in the winter months ahead.
So, we broke out a Christmas present early, dusted off our Wii and danced. Just Dance: Disney Party 2 features more than 20 tracks from the most popular Disney Channel shows, with songs from movies like “Descendants” and “Teen Beach 2” as well as shows like “Girl Meets World” and “Liv and Maddie.” My kids are a bit too young to know those shows, but they loved watching the tween stars of those shows lead them in dance (so if your kids are a bit older and watch any of these shows, they'll love dancing with them!).
Liam got really into how many points he was earning after each dance vs. Nora, which is kind of funny because Nora really didn't know what was going on - she was just in it to dance, yet sometimes she actually did get more points! Liam loved that. But really, this saved us this weekend. They got out a lot of energy and had fun dancing together - especially to the duets. I love when my two toddlers are playing, laughing and enjoying one another together.
What are some ways you entertain and tire out your toddlers come winter and pour weather?!
Liam loved picking out his avatar - he also picked out Nora's, and actually picked the ones that looked most like each of them.
Just Dance: Disney Party 2 is now available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Nintendo’s Wii and Wii U systems. Just in time for the Holidays!
