Wearing this dress over gray denim seemed weird to me at first - but when I tried it on, I really liked the contrast and look (and I don't think it's because I love Buffalo Check so much that I'll make any excuse to wear it). Goes to show you, sometimes you just have to play around in your closet - which sounds kind of fun anyways.
I also love wearing shorter dresses over fitted jeans for a more casual/dressed down look (vs. very opaque tights) during the cooler months. I like a layered look - that's my favorite part about Fall/Winter styles, and this fits the bill.
