We've actually only made it to the Kansas City Farmer's Market a few times this summer - and every time I'm there, I wonder why we don't come EVERY weekend! It's the perfect morning outing with little ones! Not only do they have awesome produce and flowers/plants for such affordable prices, there are tons of antique and local stands full of cool and unique goods, and best of all - lots of fun kid-friendly activities.
This fall I hope we can continue to visit more often to take advantage of the cooler weather and awesome breakfast spots. I love trying new places and exploring with my kiddos. And mornings are always a good time for us to get out and have some fun - it makes for better naps later, too!
{Liam and Nora's outfits are both c/o from FabKids - super cute outfits sent out monthly and easy to mix and match!}
Seriously, we drive around every weekend just looking for blow up slides and bounce houses (not really...kinda), Liam would do this all day long! Nora also got her first taste in a bounce house when we finally caught it with no other kids in there, so I didn't have to worry about some big kids knocking her down. Liam went in with her and showed her the ropes - I think she's hooked.
While Liam was sliding down the slide, climbing back up and sliding down again and again... Nora and I went exploring (running!) around. She was on the move...
And then before heading home to crash (super long naps - for us all!!), we had to hit up the
Beignet (in the KC River Market), because why not get one last sugar rush to keep them awake in the car on the way home?
These were Nora's first taste and she was skeptical to say the least... (but she loved them, duh!)
I'm not sure who loves to get out and explore more - me or the kids - but thankfully Greg obliges and we get out and go! It's always fun (once we get out of the house - hah!) and makes for saner afternoons.
What are some fun things (in KC or not!) you do with YOUR little ones and family on the weekends to get out of the house?
