Summer Pool Days
We've been finding that the perfect time to hit the pool this summer has been post-nap, in the late afternoon when there isn't anything else you could possibly do during the hottest part of the day. The pools seem less crowded at this time and it gives us more freedom to practice our swimming, jumping into the pool and kicking. Oh, and lots of turns down the slide with no line!
We have also been trying out a bunch of different pools around the Kansas City area - I think next year we'll pick one for a summer pass, but it's been fun for the kids seeing all the different kiddie pools, fountains and slide options so far. So far my favorite is the Roeland Park Aquatic Center, which has a whale slide, volcano lazy river and even two slides for the adults!
Also fun...little, tiny swimsuits. These little suits by Sunuva are as cute as they are safe. Just as their name suggests, their line of swim and beachwear keep kids safe in the sun with UV protection within the fabrics! This is ideal for me as a mom who worries a lot. We still slather them with sunscreen - and our favorite time to go to the pool is when it's overcast out, but this is another layer of safety to protect their skin and reduce risks of skin cancer! Plus, you don't have to sacrifice style for safety - you get 'em both via Sunuva!
{Liam's rash guard top, trunks & goggles and Nora's one-piece with matching swim cover up dress and sunglasses - only $3!}
