'Tis the season for getting out! Out of the house, out in the city, out exploring. And one of our most favorite areas to do all of that is on the Country Club Plaza! We have been heading to this Kansas City icon for years to catch a good bite, see a movie, hit up the bars and nightlife, and shop - and since having kids, while some of these things have transitioned to long walks, stopping in toy stores, eating outside, seeing seasonal exhibits and decorations, we're still getting to the Plaza multiple times a month!
So, because of that, I'm SO excited to announce that the Kansas City Country Club Plaza and Chasing Davies have partnered up for the next 12 months to bring you my family, friend, date night, shopping and seasonal experiences, along with exciting news, openings & giveaways (spot me in their April newsletter?!)! This is so exciting for me, because I've loved the Plaza for as long as I can remember. This was THE place to come during the holidays growing up with my family, to shop and lunch with my girlfriends from the moment we could drive, and even after I moved away to college, this is where my boyfriend (now husband) and I would come in from Lawrence for special dates. Even after college, I lived in 3 different places within walking distance, and went out every weekend on the Plaza! And now, this is where we love to bring our kids, stop in for happy hours and have date nights.
A couple weekends ago, we celebrated the finally pretty weather by spending the morning as a family enjoying the great outdoors on the Plaza. We love eating outside with the littles, as they always behave a bit better, and we love the expansive patio at the Classic Cup (we're actually heading back for Easter brunch, which is THIS weekend, so you still have time to make plans to come enjoy the Plaza this Sunday). Liam was thrilled not only to be outside, but because he got a special treat of french fries with his lunch... and as you can see below, he LOVED them. :)

This is especially one of my most favorite times of the year because we LOVE visiting and searching for all the seasonal animal characters located all over the Plaza. Our favorites are the bunch near the Michael Kors store and in front of Seasons 52. These bunny and animal statues will be up around the Plaza through April 12th, so you still have time to get out and go find them! My kids love climbing on them, Nora loves to run around and point at them, and Liam loves to keep exploring for more.

Zoom! It's a toy store with some of the coolest, more ingenious kid toys out there, and they are super welcoming to families and kids that come in and play around. Of course, while Liam prefers Zoom, Nora
slightly prefers a little pit stop at
Kate Spade (I mean, a girl after my own heart!). Who am I not to oblige?
