Favorite Shades of Lipsticks
I think one of the easiest ways to pull together an outfit is with a swipe of the right lipstick. A simple outfit is instantly more chic with lip color and an all neutral outfit is quickly more interesting with a pop of bright lips. It's just so easy - and fun to experiment with to find the right one(s) for you. And here is the kicker - everyone (yes, even you!) can wear lipstick, or some sort of lip color (light or bold, so many choices!).
I haven't always worn lipstick... I was interested for awhile, but afraid of it a bit. Would it be too much? Too bold for my normal lifestyle? Then one day I just jumped into it with Nars Heat Wave, still one of my favorites today, and never turned back. I've loved it and I got a great reaction from people that very first time. Since then, I get a lot of questions on how to wear lipstick and what colors and brands do I recommend, so I wanted to share 9 of my current favorites at various prices and shades.
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude - $4.99
Nude is a great color to wear when you have a really bold eye going on.
MAC Lipstick in Pink Nouveau - $16
I love this pink for spring and summer, or soft outfits, light colored outfits.
Maybeline Craving Coral in Matte - $7.49
This is my current daily favorite! It's bright enough for fun, but not too bold that I can't wear it with anything.
CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick, Spellbound - $7.49
This is my all time favorite pink! I wear it year around with everything.
Laqa & Co Lip Lube in Menatour - $18
I love this way this wears and since applied like a pen, goes on perfectly.
Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in Passion - $22.50
For those that don't like lipstick - this is like butter. Heals your lips (hello winter...) while you wear them while packing a great punch of color.
NARS Lipstick in Heat Wave - $26
My first lipstick, and go-to for a slightly bolder lip, but still can feel really day to day.
Wet n Wild Mega LipLast Color in Stoplight Red - $2.29
This one surprised me! This red it one of my favorites and feels good on!
MAC Longwear Lipstick in Heart Hangover - $34.49
Love this color for making a statement in the fall and winter. And the color lasts all day long.
