We were lucky to escape the first bought of midwestern winter this past weekend (a freeze and light dusting - though they were calling for way more snow...) and headed south. Way south... to West Palm Beach, Florida where the weather was in the 80s and the sun was shining bright. We had the opportunity pop up through my husbands work in which I was invited along, so couldn't pass that up. Plus, knowing the kiddos were in good hands gave us peace of mind (thanks Mom & Dad!!).
We stayed at the Eau Palm Beach which was fabulous - beyond! Complete with pools, right on the beach, several restaurants on the property, lovely rooms, a beautiful lobby with gorgeous chandeliers and within walking distance to other restaurant areas. It was a pretty relaxing long weekend, and I actually didn't even open the laptop once - even crazier - I didn't even open my work email on my phone at all (so expect lots of coffee needed on this Monday morning back at it). Sometimes you need that time to be free and not think about real life, just for a bit (though I was thinking about and missing my kiddos a ton!).
A special thanks to Alicia Janesko who sent me to the beach in style with a couple beautiful caftans from her spring/summer collection. She recently showed at KCFW (see her beautiful work here) and I got to wear a more winter/fall version to the show, so I was really excited to don her pieces again! Next beach vacay, I'm going to have to commission her for a custom piece...
Anyways, here are a few photos from our warm escape if you're interested!
{On a walk to brunch - the houses were killing me with their unique beauty! Could move right in to this one!}
{A blurry night shot for a fancy dinner - Necklace, Dress}
Now, time to dig out the rest of my winter garb, since it really is actually here... but while I'm at it, might as well just get out the Christmas decor, too, right?! At least there is that! Stay warm, friends!
