Easy {and inspiring} like Sunday morning + Giveaway!
Some weekends, I'm inspired to get out, explore my city with my family. Other weekends, I'm inspired to clean, organize, do the mounds of laundry I've put off the week prior. And then there are some weekends, especially after busy weeks, that I'm inspired to close down the electronics, sit on the floor of my messy house with my kiddos, surrounded by gobs of toys, make breakfast last until 1pm and just be. This was yesterday.
I started my morning with a simple cup of coffee, but with added flavor from a splash of French Vanilla Coffee-mate from their newly designed bottle by David Bromstad. The design star has partnered with Coffee-mate and Target to bring these limited edition designs (French Vanilla and Hazelnut flavors) to a dairy aisle near you. The David Bromstad-designed bottles are sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide.
After the babes played and we all sufficiently woke up, we were ready for second breakfast. My husband whips up big batches of waffles every few weeks for easy kid breakfasts during the weekdays. They are the best fresh off the waffle iron, though, so who could resist? None of us, except Nora, though not by choice (she lacks teeth). It was also a great time to grab another cup of coffee with another splash (ok, two) of French Vanilla creamer. Liam got to help dad in the kitchen, and led all stirring and mixing activities. He was rewarded for his hard work with the very first waffle.
I like any morning that is just easy. No rushing, very little electronics (some music and a few photos taken) and just time to make, play and be.
