Baby shower AND a gender reveal party for TWINS!

You guys, one of my cousins and very best friends, Shannon, is having TWINS (!!), due this August (likely to come in July).  I could not be more thrilled for her, as this is her first (and second).  Her and her husband, Austin are seriously going to make the best parents!  They are both so patient, kind, understanding, creative and strong.  From the moment I found out (just a few days after I had Nora) she was pregnant, my mom and I claimed throwing her our family baby shower.  And then because Shannon was keeping this whole journey exciting for everyone, this baby shower also turned into a gender reveal party, too!

I had a great time working with my mom to organize, plan and create this baby shower/gender reveal party.  It was a bit challenging to find a theme since it had to still be gender neutral (even though we knew the genders already). The decorations, invitations, theme couldn't give it away before the reveal! But then I found the perfect baby shower invites via Tiny Prints of clotheslined little baby clothes and soft colors and the shower theme stemmed off of that. We carried the theme from those invites on to the cake and throughout my mom's home as decor and even as part of the gender reveal!

Really, it all starts with the invites anyways, and Tiny Prints just has the best to choose from!

^^ There you have it! Baby A is a GIRL and baby B is a BOY!  I wrapped little outfits, one for baby girl and one for baby boy in garment bags, hung from clothes pins like the rest of the visible, more gender neutral clothing (past littles pieces worn by Liam and Nora) and had Shannon open them up to reveal what gender-telling outfits hid beneath. {sweet lace romper that Nora might need to get to match her cousin, hat, plaid onesie and shoes} ^^

^^ We served a yummy lunch of  tuna and chicken salads that could either be put over a spring mix of greens or into a croissant, veggies, fruit, hummus with pretzel chips and other chips.  Let me tell you, the chicken salad that we got from Whole Foods stuffed into a croissant was so good. I used decorated baby bottles as little vases to decorate the table, and later hung baby mobiles from the light fixture, but I made them to match the nursery and it gave away the gender, so had to bring that out later. ^^

^^ And then for fun, we had a little DIY baby burp cloth station!  This side of my family did this for me at my baby shower for Liam and here we are still using those burp clothes for Nora. ^^

^^ The aforementioned homemade baby mobiles I made to match their room - little pop of pink for Baby A! ^^

Thank you Tiny Prints for supplying the invites and partnering with me for today's post!
