Two things Liam loves... being outside and snacks! And often in the Spring and Summer months we hit up the park tons, packing up picnics and snacks to accompany the trip to maximize our outside play time. So, this past Saturday, I chopped up my favorite picnic snacks of lots of fresh produce and grabbed some of our favorite POPSUGAR Must Have Snacks by NatureBox, and Liam and I had an impromptu picnic date in our backyard after his nap.
You don't always have to go somewhere to enjoy the outdoors! We had a great time talking about the clouds. :)
Regardless of where we picnic, these are some of our go-to snacks (and if it were around lunch or dinner time, we'd also have sandwiches) - all hands-on food, because I try to keep what I'm toting to a minimum. If you've ever seen my sons hands after any amount of outdoor play, you know his hands and that food shouldn't mix! Until I was introduced to Wet-Nap hand wipes, that is. So now, this is a must have to bring to the park, keep in our car, include in our baby bag, and definitely to add to a picnic!
P.S. I think next time I'll bring a little something extra yummy for me, like some fig jelly and crackers, also cheese seems like a great picnic addition, like this black bomber (cheddar cheese) round. Mmm.
