Little Black Dress & Bright Snow Cones
Earlier this week I spent a couple fun hours after work with a bunch of cool Kansas City blogger ladies. We were all especially cool on this warm evening, as we sipped on adult snow cones at Snow & Company (though mine was the one and only non-alcoholic slushy treat they offered, it was good nonetheless). This would also become the last thing I drank (and ate a panini to go along with it) for the next 48 hours as soon after I got home, the flu paid me and mean, cruel visit.
I wore this almost all black get up, more of a challenge to myself. I am not usually drawn to wearing black, I tend to sway towards brights and lighter neutrals. I think I find black hard to style, hard to make look more interesting (unless the color is balanced by white in the form of stripes, of course). And especially in the summer... how do you style a little black dress? So I decided to give it a try by adding light layering (lace is a good summer layer) and pops of accessories (oh and lots of bright snow cones).
How do you style the little black dress for summer?
